Saint Agatha graduates are kind individuals, faithful stewards of the Catholic faith, honorable members of their local communities, and ethical citizens of the broader world. They are well-prepared for high school and beyond, and many receive substantial scholarship funds for both high school and college.
One of Saint Agatha's key advantages is our ability to offer students various pathways for continuing their education after eighth grade. We are an official feeder school for Bishop Watterson High School and St. Charles Preparatory School. We also have students who choose to enroll in local public high schools, including Upper Arlington, Hilliard, and Dublin City Schools, among others.
Regardless of their choice, we are committed to preparing students and families to make their next phase of schooling both fulfilling and God-honoring.

Saint Agatha eighth Graders earn Scholarships for High School?Each year, the graduating eighth-grade class of Saint Agatha is awarded, on average, over $60,000 in high school scholarships. The graduating class of 2025 earned a total of $163,550, reflecting the academic excellence of our students through many merit-based scholarships.These scholarships not only ease the financial burden of high school education but also recognize and reward our students' hard work and achievements. Our eighth-grade graduates regularly achieve honor roll recognition at our feeder high school, Watterson, St. Charles Prepratory, and top-tier public high schools in the area. COACE Scholarship - Each year COACE awards $1,000 Scholarships to 8th-grade students who are enrolled in one of the Diocesan High Schools. COACE will choose one winner from each eligible elementary school.

Sister Marie Shields Scholarship - Sister Marie Shields Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for 8th-grade students who will be attending one of the Columbus Diocesan High Schools. COACE will award $1000 to two 8th-grade students from Diocese elementary schools. Students are asked to submit this online application, including the two short essay questions and two letters of recommendation through our Letter of Recommendation Form.

Christine Wilson Scholarship - This scholarship is based on citizenship/service, character traits: caring, family-oriented, thoughtful of others, love of children; essay; letters of recommendation; one scholarship is given to a child in one of the feeder school parishes to pursue a Bishop Watterson education.

Szajnuk Scholarship - This fund provides tuition assistance to one or more graduating eighth-grade students from St. Agatha School, Columbus, who excel in the arts (music, art and/or drama) for their first year’s tuition at a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Columbus.
