PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Currently, Mr. Hughes begins his 20th year in education and tenth year at Saint Agatha. Hughes has his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Dominican University and holds an Elementary 1-8 Teaching Certification. He teaches Middle School Science, Health, Religion and STEM. Through cooperative learning groups, demonstrations, experiments and inquiry to engage all students, Mr. Hughes wants students to take ownership of their learning. He wants to
encourage independent thinking, questioning and exploring to engage students in meaningful work that will allow them to succeed in the classroom. Mr. Hughes serves as Science Fair Coordinator and 7th Grade Camp Coordinator. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, canoeing, kayaking, gardening, and cooking. Residing in Clintonville, Hughes, his wife, Shelly, and their two daughters enjoy visits from their son and daughter-in-law.
