PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Mrs. Redmond has been the school nurse for 23 years. She works to keep the students healthy by providing in office care in order to maximize student health and learning. She
also collaborates with teachers and works with administrators on health lesson plans and policies
and procedures. Mrs. Redmond keeps in contact with parents and sends monthly newsletter updates regarding health and safety issues. She is the wellness coordinator and teaches many lessons in the areas of health and wellness and leads other initiatives such as “Wellness Wednesday” and “Walk to School Day”. Mrs. Redmond is an AHA certified CPR instructor, Stop the Bleed instructor, and trained in Emergency Disaster Preparedness. She trains the staff and
teachers yearly and updates them on current medical conditions as they relate to school. Mrs. Redmond is involved in ETR meetings and assists with counseling lessons. She is also the coordinator of Saint Agatha’s Youth Education for Safety Program. Mrs. Redmond bases her practice on the motto: “Healthy Students = Optimal Learners.” She is concerned about the “whole” student physically, mentally and spiritually. Mrs. Redmond enjoys watching sports,
gardening, reading, cross-stitch and playing with her dog. She and her husband, Tom, have 2 beautiful granddaughters, and they currently live in Upper Arlington.
